Ok, I am unfit and haven’t done any fitness for years, but you have to start somewhere. Anyway I am playing Sub football Wednesday nights at Seymour Park in a team called Zamantix 2. Check out how we are going here.
Well the snowboards have been assembled (finally!!) after a year of gathering dust and the flights, car hire and accommodation has been booked. Off to Queenstown and Wanaka for a weeks boarding next week – Yeah a break from work that I am sure the body will hate me for subjecting it to all that exercise.

Anyway fun in the snow is coming, and looking forward to catching up with Dick and Erica. 
Waikato beat Canterbury, 36-22 in the new look Air NZ Cup to go 2 from 2, with Sitiveni Sivivatu looking good and now recalled into the AB’s for next weekends test against Aussie. Read the TVNZ article.
Liverpool also won their first trohpy of the season (although the season hasn’t started) by beating Chelsea in the FA Community Shield 2-1. Looking forward to a good season from Liverpool with the Barclays Premiership starting next weekend. Check out the official Liverpool FC website.

UPDATE: That infamous handbag is now being auctioned on Trade Me. Current bid as at 2:30pm(NZT), 2 June – $5,800NZD!!!
UPDATE: The handbag finally sold for just under $23,000NZD on Saturday. Well Done!!

If anybody got up early in the UK to watch the Super 14 final they must be annoyed.Â
After organising a big group of people to catch up in Auckland (who normally can’t make it out with kids!). Everybody settled down in anticipation of a cracker of a final between to 2 NZ Teams. Unfortunately the TV coverage and the people in the stands witnessed a blanket of Christchurch smog!
A bitter disappointment after all the hype and nobody (even the players) saw much of the game. Where was the contingency planning?
